Reminders:

Storm Drains

Keep storm drains clear, don't rake or sweep leaves, grass, or soil into the street.  Help keep our lakes clean; litter and yard waste clog drains,, cause flooding and fill the lakes with garbage,.  Please clear the litter and lawn waste from the front of your property.

 

Bloomington Recycling 2010

Bloomington accepts mixed paper including newspaper, junk mail, paperboard, magazines, telephone books, computer paper, office paper, corrugated cardboard including clean pizza boxes, mixed containers including aluminum cans, empty aerosol cans, glass bottles and jars (all colors), #1 - 5, 7 plastic containers, plastic 6 and 12 pack ring carriers, juice boxes (no straws).   Do not include soiled paper towels, napkins or tissues, plastic bags, #6 polystyrene, Styrofoam, plastic cups, drinking glasses, dishes or window glass, #7 PLA (cornstarch plastic).  Bloomington accepts the above materials every other week.  Call 309-434-2220 for blue bins or route info.

 Theft: Neighbors need to continue to be aware of activity in the neighborhood.  Remember to lock vehicles and close garage doors even when you are home.  These are thefts of opportunity, especially during the night.

Open Fires on Common Grounds: Open Fires on common grounds are a liability to the association and homeowners, therefore, the Board has voted to not to allow open pit fires on common grounds. This includes all common grounds, the grassy area between the lakes and the sidewalk,, the open area between the lakes and the open lots by the spillway.  All open fires should be reported to the Fire Department.
